Elemental Lord = Elemental Fail?
[skill=text]Glyph of Elemental Power[/skill] seems way better. So I'm ranting, why did Elemental Lord, a pve only skill get nerfed?
Elemental Lord should be restored to pre-nerf. Or change it to 1/4 cast, 5 recharge so it can at least be used as a cover.

I actually think this skill and intensity are good models for how pve skills should be - its all the other overpowered ones that have it wrong. A PvE should a powerlevel appropriate for an ordinary skill, but provide functionallity that would be unbalancing when placed in a pvp environment (in this case by increasing the spikiness of skills).

Glyph of Elemental Power is King for the following reasons:
- GoEP is not an enchantment and cannot be stripped
- GoEP is a "Glyph" and not a "spell" making it immune to any spell/chant-only interrupts
- GoEP has a shorter recharge than Elemental Lord
- GoEP costs less than Elemental Lord
- GoEP boosts skills' attributes by 2 and not just 1.
Elemental Lord is only useful if you want to stack all the +1 attribute skills/items you can for one big spell...which doesn't really achieve anything.
There's only one thing to say about Elemental Lord:

Celest...I can't believe you placed that image there! Where is the dignity and wisdom of the Elementalist in posting such a disgracing image of an animal?
Regardless, I don't have this skill at the moment so I can't say how I feel about it. I do plan on acquiring it at some point here soon, and seeing how it is for me or if I can whip up a small build for certain areas for combined +'s.

Elemental Lord is a nice utility imho. The disadvantage of GoEP is that it's a glyph and they don't stack.

Sorry! Had to be done! The skill is truly horrible...so I wouldn't hurry into acquiring it. Drupal is of course correct in that you can't stack it with Glyph of Lesser Energy, but you can onlu use GoLE on 2 spells in any 30 second period... I personally feel GoEP's Pro's FAR outweigh it's cons when compared with the poor excuse for a cover enchantment that is: Elemental Failu...umm...Lord.

Yeah, but an elementalist understands and knows that every skill he or she has is viable for one build or another at some point. Yes this skill may lack, but, I guarntee that there are players who are happy with this rather then GoEP for one reason or another.
Perhaps it's cause it's an enchantment and they can use it with Enchantment weapons to gain those bonuses, or because the more Enchant's they've got, the happier their other skills are.

0 is 2 secs, 3 is 3 secs, 6 is 4, and 10 is 5. 3 secs is long enough for them to get some hurting then hit them with [skill]frozen burst[/skill] and they wont escape before it ends lol.
and an idea i got from the wiki
[skill]Glyph of Sacrifice[/skill][skill]meteor shower[/skill][skill]shadow walk[/skill][skill]winter's embrace[/skill][skill]bed of coals[/skill][skill]star burst[/skill][skill]dash[/skill][skill]fire attunement[/skill]

Storm, you have right idea.
Tenshi, that looks highly intelligent. I've actually been pondering over slightly the use of Winter's Embrace for something or another..

yeah there are only 3 reasons to use Elemental Attunement over GoEP:
1. when facing enchantment removal like shatter hex, wont really help against rend, lingering and others though, Enchantment removal, you want your attunement to stick!
2. you really need to use GoLE or some other Glyph while you're skills have a higher attribute.
3. you're using Mystic Regeneration or something else that needs a lot of enchantments.
those are the only reasons I see to use it, not very strong reasons by the way but I usually run neither Elemental Lord nor GoEP
